Livestream: Protecting the Freedom to Vote in the States

More than 360 anti-voter laws have been introduced in 47 states since the start of 2021—and many have already been passed. How can environmentalists take action to protect the freedom to vote?

Did you miss our livestream? Watch our video for a teach-in co-hosted by ten leading environmental organizations about the attacks on our freedom to vote, and how the For the People Act—arguably the most consequential people-empowering legislation since the Voting Rights Act of 1965—returns the power back to the voters, where it belongs.

Guest speakers from states where voting rights are under attack will discuss the impact these laws are having on our communities. They’ll be joined by an expert on the For the People Act, who will discuss its potential to block some of the most harmful provisions of these attacks on our democracy.
