The mission of the Mississippi River Team is to promote a healthier Mississippi River Ecosystem, including better water quality, with emphasis on nutrient pollution reduction, a more natural floodplain regime and a more natural connectivity to the tributaries of the main stem and the Gulf of Mexico. As part of the effort, we want to increase appreciation of the Mississippi River Ecosystem amount area resigned and help river communities develop sensible approaches to flood control and development.
