SATURDAY: New Mexicans to Rally for Action on Public Lands
Las Cruces, NM -- On Saturday, Sierra Club organizers and several allies will rally to fight for public lands in Mexico. The event coincides with Interior Secretary Zinke’s upcoming national monument status recommendations which will be released within the next week. A change in their designation status puts two national monuments in New Mexico at risk of drilling and development. Attendees will be pouring in calls and tweets to President Trump and Secretary Zinke to stress the importance of national monuments in the state.
What: A rally and phone bank in support of New Mexico’s national monuments.
