Changemakers For Climate

About Changemakers

What. The Bay Chapter and the Ecology Center have partnered to present a series of free public programs called Changemakers for Climate. Each month, a panel of environmental activists, policy makers, and experts gather to discuss local campaigns to combat climate disruption. Bay Chapter organizer Ratha Lai moderates the discussions, which explore such topics as crude by rail, coal exports, and Community Choice energy.

When. The first Wednesday of each month. Find the next program on our online events calendar.

Where. Join us in person at the Sierra Club SF Bay Chapter office, located at 2530 San Pablo Avenue (at Dwight) in Berkeley, OR online via the live webinar broadcast (get the link to participate online via the event listing on our calendar)

Why? The goal of this series is to empower Bay Area residents with the knowledge and tools they need to get engaged in tackling these issues in their own backyards. Whether you’re already deep in the trenches or you’ve never attended a public hearing before, Changemakers will get you up to speed on our climate campaigns and prepare you to take action.
