Welcome to the Rappahannock Group Sierra Club. We are a local and active group that promotes Sierra Club's mission of Exploring, Enjoying and Protecting our environmental resources. We focus on local issues that impact our communities and promote the enjoyment and protection of our region's unique environmental landscape. Our club is a co-sponsor of the annual Fredericksburg Earth Day. RGSC sponsors film screenings, environmental forums and workshops. We also provide educational displays and tabling at local events such as farmers markets, trail openings, school programs, and festivals. If you would like RGSC to support or table at your next event please contact our Program Chair.

BREAKING: Sierra Club Sues DOGE and Musk to Protect Our Parks

Sierra Club is taking action against DOGE and Elon Musk for unlawfully firing National Park Service and US Forest Service employees, cutting budgets and staffing, and violating contracts. We’ve co-filed a lawsuit to protect the public lands and parks you care about.

Our public lands are under attack. The National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service are being systematically undermined, and the people who protect these lands are being displaced. This isn’t just policy—it’s a direct threat to our parks, forests, communities, and ecosystems.

We’re fighting back, but we need your help. Donations to Sierra Club fuel critical legal battles, protect conservation efforts, and defend our right to access and enjoy these wild places.
