NYCICO Outings
NYC ICO takes participants on a variety of outings with the goal of helping them gain an appreciation for the out-of-doors and a better understanding of the natural world.
This section provides reports and photos from past NYC ICO outings as well as a link to our online Meetup.com calendar of future events. In order to view our online calendar, you will need to attend a New Volunteer Orientation and be an active member of NYC ICO. The section titled "Outing Ideas" provides a guide to some of our outings. Some trip ideas, particularly the camping ideas, may provide opportunities for multiple type of activities. We also take advantage of the many opportunities to experience nature in New York City itself. You might take a scavenger hunt in Central Park or a trip to the Museum of Natural History.
