We are a community outreach, all-volunteer run organization. Our volunteers and leaders believe the wilderness exists as a resource for all people and everyone should have access to it.
ICO removes the barriers to access by providing knowledgeable leaders, equipment, transportation, logistics, and trip cost. Participants in our program discover the beauty of wild places through our fun and educational outings. This promotes an appreciation of nature and increases personal growth, interpersonal and teamwork skills, well-being, and leadership. Our outings could be a short day hike to our local state and county parks or a weekend camping under the big sky.
