Colorado Sierra Club in the News:
Sierra Club attorney Matt Gerhart was quoted on CPR about the alarming news that Colorado Springs Utilities is considering delaying the retirement of the Ray Nixon coal plant. Coal is dirty and dangerous and will keep Colorado from meeting its clean energy goals. Further, delays in transitioning will only cost ratepayers more money.
Colorado Sierra Club Chapter Director, Margaret Kran-Annexstein, representing the "Clean Up Excel Coalition", was quoted in CBS News coverage of Xcel Energy's proposed rate hikes.
