Hiking with US Representative Joe Neguse

The Sierra Club-Indian Peaks Group has a long tradition of hiking with our congressperson from Congressional District 2. And on a beautiful Saturday in October, we hiked with Joe Neguse at Chautauqua Park in Boulder. The governmental shutdown was in full swing, so Joe couldn’t discuss any recent environmental legislation, but he was able to tell us about the mood in Washington DC. Simply put, it’s grim but determined. But Joe was optimistic that matters were going to improve and he predicted that pro-environment candidates would win all across the country in the November election. And he was right!
