Make Stuff. Meet People. Take Power Back.
Or just come hang. Everyone is welcome at Craftivist Night. Last Tuesday of the month.
Next Craftivist Night: February 24, 6 - 8 PM
What is Craftivist Night?
I just want to do arts and crafts. Unfortunately, I also want clean energy, affordable bills, corporate accountability, and an economy that doesn’t revolve around billionaires. So I decided to combine the two.
Craftivist Night is a monthly low-pressure space to build community and make cool art with purpose. In a world that feels increasingly automated and isolating, I'm trying to bring back some joy and remember that creativity is a form of both care and resistance. And I want to provide that to you, whoever you are.
Each Craftivist Night will include supplies, project ideas, and opportunities to help create larger visuals, signs, and art for upcoming actions and events. You’re also welcome to bring your own project, pitch an idea you’ve been wanting to try, or just come hang out, make something small, and meet people.
Each month may have a loose theme, but the heart of Craftivist Night is really just about building community and making art.
This space will be unapologetically pro–climate, pro–immigrant, pro–democracy, pro–worker rights, and pro–people over profit. The art we make will reflect that, whether subtly or out loud.
Examples of projects:
- Zines and mini-publications
- Stickers and magnets
- Upcycled and found-material art
- Digital art and design
- Embroidery, patch-making, and textiles
- Posters, banners, and large-scale visuals for actions
- Anything you want!
