There’s a place for everyone in the Pinellas County environmental movement—whether you see yourself as a Participant, Organizer, or Leader.
Participants support local actions, attend events, and help spread the word.
Organizers help plan activities, manage projects, support campaigns, and build community connections.
Leaders help guide strategy, mentor volunteers, and provide vision for our work protecting people and the planet.
Volunteer opportunities range from event support, outreach, social media, administrative tasks and storytelling to policy advocacy, campaign leadership, and committee roles. Leadership of the Suncoast Group
Join us for our monthly leadership (Executive Committee) meetings, which take place at 6:30 PM on the second Thursday of each month (excluding January). These meetings are a blend of in-person and virtual formats. If you're interested in attending, please reach out to volunteer@suncoastsierra.org. Additionally, we hold our annual strategy session in mid-January to assign leadership roles and outline key events and goals for the year. The 2026 Annual Strategy Session is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, at Mt. Zion UMC (time to be determined).
