Middle Chattahoochee Pollinator Garden

 
One of our ongoing projects is the planting and maintenance of a pollinator garden on the LaGrange multiuse trail called The Thread.  Since fall 2023, we have started removing and replacing all non-native plants with native species that are part of our areas natural ecosystem. Many of these native plants serve as both hosts for pollinator caterpillars or other beneficial insects and act as food sources in the form of nectar, seeds, or foliage for native birds and other animals. This inclusion of more native plant species will allow us to gain certification as a pollinator habitat and beneficially contribute to our local wildlife.
