P.S. Readers' photos are one of my favorite things about this newsletter, but this month we've come up short! If you have a photo of Indiana nature to share, scroll down to submit!
Earth Month - The Great Invitation!
Look out! We are coming to a town near you! April is in full swing at the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter and that means we are celebrating with members and volunteers in communities all across Indiana.
We have dubbed this month the “Great Invitation.” We want to introduce new communities and potential volunteers and members to the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter, and reconnect with volunteers and members who have not been active recently and invite them to check out what we are up to this year.
Volunteer Leader Lora Kemp and Outreach Coordinator Colleen Curtin met Indiana State University mascot Sycamore Sam at the ISU Earth Day Celebration on April 16, 2025.
If you would like to meet us this month, you can find us at one of these magnificent community events. Connect, reconnect, join an outing, committee, volunteer team, or project that speaks to you and take action with us!
"Last month, I joined the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter and Indiana Conservation Voters for a walk through the Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab on Marian University’s Indianapolis campus. What a beautiful spot! It was my first time, and it did not disappoint."
Welcome to this regular feature where we look back and share photos from our past.
This month, we travel back to June 2018 when Tom Hohman from the Indiana Native Plant Society gave a presentation at a Heartlands Group meeting on native plant landscaping.
