Do you have a love of the outdoors, a strong commitment to equity and justice, a passion to fight climate change and protect the environment in Indiana?
The Executive Committee is made up of volunteers from the Hoosier Chapter Sierra Club membership, so that means people just like you! Those elected will work with volunteer peers and Sierra Club staff to create and facilitate the overall mission and strategy of the Chapter. Following the election in December 2025, each elected member will serve a 2-year term that will begin January 1, 2026.
Ideal candidates might possess some or all of the following attributes:
* Current Sierra Club member (required)
* Commitment to social justice and equity, and to protecting our human rights
* Good leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manner
* Some knowledge of local politics and conservation issues (you may begin now by joining us!)
* Passion for protecting land, air, and water
* Experience or interest in fundraising, lobbying, PAC work, or other skills and areas of expertise.
