Sierra Club is an active voice in the Yes to Homes! Coalition, advocating for a suite of bills merging climate and housing solutions. As a package, the bills are aimed at making it easier for our state to build the housing our population needs, efficiently centered in developed urban areas.
Meanwhile on transportation, the team continues to fight hard against multiple efforts to cut funding to transit, biking, and walking. In particular, Governor Walz's proposal to cut $32 million from the budget is an egregious threat to the hardwon funding from 2023, which we are working hard to prevent from happening.
