May 5th Program at 7pm - New Trail Networks in Western North Carolina

Did you know that some long-distance trails and trail networks are being developed in Buncombe-McDowell-Henderson-Transylvania county region? Have you heard of the Fonta Flora and Hickory Nut Gorge State Trails - each have plans for 100+ miles of trails with significant sections built. Another longer trail (19 miles) in the planning and design phase is the Ecusta Trail, which will connect Hendersonville and Brevard. A few speakers will share information on these and a few other new or related trails in this region. You will learn about some places that you will probably want to explore on your own!
