There has been debate over solving the I-26 crossover problem in Asheville for many years. A few years back, it appeared that a solution was in the works, but recently the NCDOT unveiled a different plan that includes a flyover over Patton Avenue, which has spurred opposition. • Have the environmental impacts of the redesign, especially the overpass, been evaluated to reduce negative impacts to the community?
