Water for People & the Environment Committee: October 6 Program; September 8 Recording

The next Water for People and the Environment Committee will take place virtually on Monday, October 6, and the topic will be 'Understanding Proposition 4 with Texas Water Experts'. The presentation will provide an overview of Proposition 4, created through the passage of Texas House Joint Resolution 7 (HJR 7), and will be on the ballot in the Nov. 4 general election. There will be two guest speakers - Tom Entsminger from the National Wildlife Federation and Guadalupe Fernandez from Bayou City Waterkeeper. Both are partners within the Texas Living Waters coalition (that Sierra Club is part of as well).

We will explore what's at stake as Texans head to the polls this fall. Election day will be Nov. 4, with early voting starting on October 20.
