| Big Thicket Planting Results in Future Longleaf Pine Savannah

On December 13, 2025, the Sierra Club along with many other concerned citizens met with the National Park Service in the Big Sandy Creek Unit of Big Thicket National Preserve for a service outing to restore an area so that the Longleaf Pine will thrive again. |
