ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY
The Glen Canyon Group is taking part in the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Adopt-A-Highway program in the Moab area. We have chosen highway 191 between highway markers 118 and 120. This length of highway begins about at the Rim Village US-191 access south of Moab (MP 120) and extends two miles south of there to just north of the La Sal Loop Road turn-off (MP 118). This will be a good way for the Group to have an additional small but important impact on the local environment. A couple of side benefits will be a chance to spend some time with local Sierra Clubbers and others as well as get some publicity on the Adopt-A-Highway sign.
