Fox River Earth Day Hike

Celebrate Earth Day on April 22 by participating in a fun event for the community.

Activities begin and end at the Telulah Park. Parking and restrooms are available at the park. Please register and pickup a map before you begin hiking.

A one mile hike is planned within Telulah Park.  You are encouraged to also hike the additional 3.5 mile loop along the Fox River. Restrooms and food can be found at Telulah Park, Stone Arch Brewpub, Pullmans at Trolley Square, Warch Campus Center at Lawrence University, Tempest Coffee Collective, Mr. Brews Taphouse or at locations not far off the walk.

Hikers can begin walking anytime between 9:00am and 10:30am and should plan to be back by 1:30pm. This is plenty of time to enjoy the route and discover what's on the way, or even have an early lunch. This hike is designed to be enjoyed in small groups, on your own. The trail is marked and our map is easy to follow. At 9:45 we are leading a "guided hike" for those who prefer that experience.

Put this on your calendar and plan to be there. We believe you will enjoy the experience.

This event gives people the opportunity to participate in a fun organized Earth Day event. Experience nature and our Fox River in a unique hike to celebrate Earth Day.

The event is free, no charge, without cost.

You will be asked to sign the Sierra Club liability waiver form. Please print and bring completed forms with you, or plan to do it at the registration area.  Read more about the Sierra Club liabity waiver here.

This Brochure for the Hike will be handed out when you register with us.  You may also download and print.
