Tom Palzewicz is Running for Jim Sensenbrenner’s Seat. Help Sierra Club send an Environmentalist to Congress
Tom Palzewicz knows our climate is in crisis. The catastrophic consequences of the climate crisis are evident in the Western wildfires and record numbers of hurricanes, but here in Wisconsin, we feel them as well. That is why the Sierra Club endorses Tom Palzewicz for Congress in the 5th Congressional District. Tom Palzewicz will fight for our lakes and rivers, ensure clean drinking water for all, and work for a green-energy-driven, environmentally sustainable economy.
Palzewicz understands that going green doesn’t mean spending a lot of green. It is the fiscally responsible thing to do.
Protecting our environment and our planet will require that we not only recognize climate change exists but invest in the clean energy economy. Wind and solar energy plants are now less expensive to build and operate than running existing coal plants. In fact, renewable energy technologies like wind and solar are cost-competitive or even cheaper than fossil fuel, according to Energy Innovation, an energy policy analysis firm. Investing in more renewable energy plants is environmentally and financially smart.
Tom Palzewicz knows it’s essential that we develop innovative green energy solutions, create more jobs in the renewable energy sector, and ensure our dependence on fossil fuels quickly comes to an end.
