The January 5 Georgia Senate run-off election will determine weather Joe Biden is able to implement his ambitious agenda for the our country, including his administration's version of the Green New Deal. It is also vitally important that the stacking of Federal courts with anti-environment judges be halted. There is a lot at stake in Georgia.
Both Georgia’s Senate seats are up for grabs in this election, which pits Sierra Club endorsed candidates Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock against two wealthy incumbents who have made additional millions trading stocks during the coronavirus pandemic, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. Both incumbents support Donald Trump in his continued denial of Biden’s win in November’s presidential contest. If even one of them wins, McConnell's party will retain its narrow sentate majority. If they both lose, we will have a 50-50 Senate, with the tie-breaking vote cast by Vice President Kamala Harris.
