The Great Waters Group ExCom was disappointed to cancel the annual Holiday Party for the second year in a row due to COVID-19 concerns and miss connecting with members.

Our volunteers don't have the bandwidth for an online silent auction, so we're trying the direct appeal: Will you donate here – so we can go hiking and fight climate change instead of trying to think of  other ways to raise funds?

The party, with the silent auction, is traditionally our only fundraising event of the year to support our local activities, including:

• Holding Earth Day activities and cleanups
• Protecting Kohler-Andrae Lakeshore
• Co-sponsoring the annual African American pioneer awards
• Offering free monthly programs, such as the one at Hawthorne Glen
• Mailing the quarterly newsletter

Please contribute the $35 that you would have paid to attend the party, $50 to honor the Great Waters Group's 50th anniversary that we marked last year, or whatever amount you are able to give.
