Take Action: Be Part of MKE's Green Energy Future

The Milwaukee City-County Task Force on Climate and Economic Equity has set ambitious goals, including a 45% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and a 100% reduction by 2050. Last March, the city announced plans to build a solar array that will be one of the largest in Milwaukee.

This is a watershed moment in the city’s history, one that could make Milwaukee a national leader in green jobs and affordable, clean-energy housing for city residents. Tom Barrett’s days at the helm are over. The next mayor will be critical to implementing Greater Milwaukee’s plans for a future that is both green and fair.
