The AMU room is also known as “Maamawiabiwin” in Ojibwe. It is translated to mean the Coming Together Room.

Learn about the Indigenous Milwaukee Tour that gives greater visibility for Indigenous peoples, lands and contributions. Marquette's Indigeneity Lab was created as an opportunity to connect as a community and build a bridge between residents and Milwaukee’s rich history. We will hear about its creation and other Lab projects.
