Join the Great Waters Group on Lincoln Creek for Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup
Mark Earth Week by joining the Great Waters Group in cleaning up our rivers on April 26 at the 30th annual Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup. We will be at our usual sites on Lincoln Creek with Nearby Nature at "Hopkins Hollow from 9 a.m. to noon.
We'll be at:
* 35th and Glendale, the end of the demonstration trail (site captain: Victoria); register here.
* 34th and Courtland, just south of Silver Spring near the tunnel (site captain: Karen) register here.
If you need a site with even ground, Northwest Side CDC will be at the Bee Bus sign site at 35th and Congress, and Nearby Nature will be at McGovern Park. Or if you prefer to stay closer to home, Riverkeeper has 70 sites to choose from.
Online registration closes Thursday night; walkups are possible but will need to register at the event.
Help us make a difference in the health of Milwaukee's rivers -- and get a free T-shirt! Trash bags and gloves are provided. Dress for the weather and cleanup work, and bring your refillable water bottle.
