Milwaukee County Transit System – past, present, future
When: Thursday, September 17, 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Firefly Room at Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa
The first event of our new program year will feature Dan Adams, Planning Manager for the Milwaukee County Transit System. He will talk about the state of transit in the county, MCTS’ bus network redesign initiative and plans for the future, including extending into a more regional system. Learn how GWG members can support this redesign as it progresses and how to be become a more successful bus rider! A brief Q+A will follow.

Take the bus to the Domes with us
After you have learned about transit, celebrate the Week Without Driving (Oct 1-8) and experience the real thing with us Oct. 3 when we ride the bus to the Mitchell Park Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd. Our bus captains will meet folks at two locations around the area and will help ensure that everyone has an easy time riding the bus.
When: Saturday, October 3
Meet your bus captain at 9 a.m. at one of 2 locations
Time at the Domes: 10-noon
Return to your starting point by 1-1:30 p.m.
Where: Meet your bus captain at whichever spot is most convenient:
1. East side: Estabrook Park
2. West side: Watertown Plank Park and Ride
Cost: Bus fare is $2.75 one way or $1.25 for seniors and those with disabilities
Domes admission is $9 for Milwaukee County residents, $6.50 for county seniors and $10 for nonresidents.
