Chapter elects new leaders

In two telephone conference calls and in its New York City meeting, the ExCom considered and approved the budget for 2015. Despite Governor Cuomo's fracking ban, there will still be expenditures on lawsuits and other activism relating to infrastructure that might be used for fracking in the future.

In addition, the following Chapter positions were filled:

Chair – Carl Arnold; Vice Chair – Erin Riddle; Secretary – Jim Lane; Assistant Secretary – Pat O’Connell; Treasurer – Steve Kulick; Conservation Chair - Bill Meyer; Conservation Vice Chair – Susan Lawrence; Steering Committee – Carl Arnold, Erin Riddle, Hal Bauer, Jeff Bohner, Jane Fasullo, Don Hughes, Jim Lane, Susan Lawrence, Bill Meyer.

The ExCom declared the Atlantic Chapter’s opposition to the proposed Pilgrim Pipeline between Albany and Linden, New Jersey, which would bring Bakken crude oil to refineries in New Jersey and take refined product back to Albany.  We are working with the New Jersey Chapter in fighting it.
