Joy Monjure is a lifelong advocate for sustainable agriculture and is now taking that skills and expertise to Olympia. She has worked for 23 years on water issues for the City of Bellingham. Currently, she runs a farm stand in her rural community of Everson, where she served as city councilwoman for eight years. Her opponent, Republican Vincent Buys, has received a 0% from Washington Conservation Voters for his anti-environmental record for the last four years.
