CITY ENDORSEMENTS

St Petersburg City Council, District 2: Gabriel Hament
Gabriel Hament supports making climate resilience part of St. Petersburg’s planning and development decisions. His priorities include reducing flooding, improving transportation, protecting natural resources, encouraging responsible development, and creating more connected, walkable neighborhoods with resilient infrastructure and affordable housing.

St Petersburg City Council, District 6: Linsey Grove
Linsey Grove connects environmental protection with public health and community well-being. Her leadership includes work on sustainable growth, Complete Streets, affordable housing, and resilience. She brings a focus on thoughtful planning and practical solutions for St. Petersburg’s future.

St. Petersburg No. 1 Referendum Question (Stormwater, Wastewater and/or Potable Water Improvements General Obligation Bond Referendum): YES
This city-wide bond referendum would allow the City to borrow funds upfront for eligible stormwater, wastewater, and potable-water resilience projects related to the City of St Pete's Agile Resilience (SPAR) roadmap.  “If approved, the City could do more resilience and stormwater improvements in the next five years than were accomplished in the previous 35 years."

Largo City Commission, Seat 2: Matt Faustini
Matt Faustini’s platform focuses on preparing Largo for future storms, improving water infrastructure, and protecting parks and green space. His proposals include coordinated post-storm recovery, clearer floodplain and permitting processes, utility rates tied more closely to stormwater impacts and water use, and investments in resilient infrastructure.

Dunedin City Commission, Seat 4: Nan Bennett
Nan Bennett has an extensive background in environmental engineering, public works, and water management leadership. Her technical expertise includes leading award-winning municipal water and wastewater management teams and advising on Tampa Bay seagrass restoration efforts. This background makes her uniquely qualified to help Dunedin build resilient infrastructure while addressing urgent coastal challenges like storm surge and flooding.

Pinellas County Commission, District 2: Tim Hughes
Tim Hughes brings more than two decades of experience in environmental health and safety, watershed and floodplain management, and stormwater practices. As Conservation Chair for the Suncoast Group, he has worked to protect trees and aquatic preserves and strengthen environmental protections across Pinellas Count

Pasco County Commission, District 2: Stephanie Vazquez
Stephanie Vazquez supports protecting Pasco’s wetlands, wildlife habitat, green space, and tree canopy while improving stormwater, wastewater, and water infrastructure. She also supports energy efficiency and solar solutions and responsible growth that protects the environment and quality of life for future generations.

STATE ENDORSEMENTS

Florida House of Representatives, District 57: Wendy Hoy
Wendy Hoy is focused on protecting Florida’s water, wetlands, wildlife, and natural habitats. She supports science-based wetland protections, stronger stormwater and flood mitigation, resilient infrastructure, practical energy solutions, and reducing single-use waste.

Florida House of Representatives, District, 58: Bryan Beckman
Bryan Beckman combines environmental advocacy with a focus on affordability and practical solutions. His priorities include expanding access to solar energy, protecting parks and natural waterways, and supporting policies that strengthen community resilience. His years of leadership with the Suncoast Sierra Club have given us a close look at his commitment to environmental action.

Florida House of Representatives, District 60: Lindsay Polega-Quigley
Lindsay Polega-Quigley connects environmental protection with health, safety, and affordability. She focuses on clean water, flooding, housing and insurance challenges, and strengthening community resilience while protecting the natural places that make Pinellas County special.
