Suncoast Sierra Club has been a powerful voice in shaping the future of our region — championing affordable clean energy, the protection of our cherished parks and vital green spaces, safeguarding water quality, and standing up for our coasts and natural environment when they are threatened. With thousands of supporters across Pinellas and West Pasco counties, leadership teams are actively engaged in promoting the protection of our natural resources, wildlife and environment by working with like-minded volunteers, non-profits, organizations, schools, churches and small businesses. Our mission is to partner with communities toward a clean, healthy, resilient and sustainable future.

Our leaders are deeply rooted in the communities we serve. Beyond advancing Sierra Club’s mission, many of our leaders actively work, organize, and volunteer with local organizations focused on environmental justice, resilience, wellness advocacy, food access, sustainability, and civic engagement, including Storm Squad, One Community Grocery Co-Op, Florida Food Policy Council, SeaUsRise, Neighbors in the Know, Earthjustice, Dump Duke, Activate St. Pete, the Boys & Girls Club, and more. Several leaders also help lead initiatives focused on resilience hubs, environmental education, community advocacy, and strengthening local food systems across the Tampa Bay region.

Our volunteers are equally engaged as leaders in neighborhood associations, churches, advisory boards, and grassroots community initiatives. We don’t just represent the community — we are the community.
