What is the Chapter Challenge?
This year-long challenge is designed to help you deepen your connection with the DC Chapter, build grassroots power, and grow as a local advocate for climate and environmental priorities in the District. Throughout the challenge, you'll take part in meaningful activities that strengthen your role at the Sierra Club DC Chapter. From attending a committee meeting where strategic decisions are made, to joining an outing and connecting with fellow members in nature, you’ll experience the full energy of the DC Chapter. You’ll also attend one of our quarterly DC Chapter Assemblies, where members come together to shape the Chapter’s direction, share ideas, and strategize. Beyond participation, you'll also build your advocacy skills by calling or writing to your Councilmember, testifying before the DC Council, and bringing in folks from your community to do the same.
Whether you're new to activism or a longtime supporter, the DC Chapter Challenge will empower you to take meaningful steps toward a stronger, more just, and sustainable DC.
