Clean Water

The Clean Water Committee of the Washington DC Chapter of the Sierra Club advocates for fishable and swimmable waterways in the District. These include the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, Rock Creek, as well as the District's various streams. The Committee also advocates for clean and affordable drinking water, and monitors laws and policies affecting both surface and drinking waters.

In pursuit of these goals the committee meets the third Wednesday of every other month. See the chapter calendar for specific meeting dates and locations.
