We had an inspiring and productive Spring meeting at the Miccosukee Land Cooperative, a welcoming, special and amazing place outside of Tallahassee. The weekend kicked off a day early on Thursday with a successful fundraiser with 60+ members and supporters attending! Friday evening, we had delicious pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven on site, followed by s’mores, drinks, and conversation around a campfire.
The next day we had a lively, fun, and informative Spring Meeting with over 70 of our members & staff from around the state. Saturday night, we got to dance to a live band! On Sunday, the focus was on enjoying the outdoors, with three outings including a hike around Hickory Preserve, a boat trip and picnic at Wakulla Springs, and a paddle down the Wacissa River to Blue Hole.
This all let up to Lobby Day at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
The Best Part? Working together to pass strong legislation to protect our state parks!
