This fall there will no longer be a November-December print newsletter, which included our birdseed order form and our Executive Committee election ballots. Instead, our birdseed order form will be mailed separately, and the Sierra Club Illinois Chapter will manage our HOI Group election, which will be online.

Birdseed Sale

Our birdseed order form will be mailed to all our members, to anyone who has ordered seed in the last three years, and to anyone else who is not a member but would like to be on our birdseed form mailing list. To get on our mailing list, email us at hoi@illinois.sierraclub.org with your name and mailing address. Expect to see a single piece of folded paper in your mailbox near the end of October or first week of November that will be clearly marked on the outside as the birdseed form. As in the past, a downloadable copy of the order form will also be provided on our website and linked to in our November-December e-newsletter.

Executive Committee Elections
(for Sierra Club members only)

This year for the first time, the Sierra Club Illinois Chapter will manage the Executive Committee elections for the HOI Group. If you are a Sierra Club member, you will receive both a postcard and an email from the Illinois Chapter the first half of October, with links to the online elections website where you can vote for HOI Group Executive Committee candidates, and also for statewide Executive Committee candidates. If you want a paper ballot, there will be instructions for requesting one. The HOI Group may also send an email to our members with this election information.
