We need volunteers for our lobby team. Learn about issues that are before our local or state government. We attend municipal meetings and travel to the State Capitol in Springfield several times a year for environmental lobby days. You can participate in online training on how to go about lobbying and receive updates and briefings on current legislative initiatives. 
In small groups,  we meet  with our  elected representatives to encourage their support for critical legislation to protect the environment.

In lobbying, we try to match legislators with lobby team members from their district. The Heart of Illinois Group Sierra Club covers multiple legislative districts. If you are not sure who your local or state elected representatives are, you can go to the Illinois State Board of Elections Find My Elected Officials webpage.
