No utility scale wind farms exist in Peoria County. Please consider that wind farms provide a large amount of electric power with minimal impacts compared to coal-fired, nuclear, or even methane (natural) gas plants. Wind energy does not release tons of toxic air particulates, or create radioactive wastes that are dangerous for centuries, or add gasses that are warming our earth at an increasingly point-of-no-return rate. Learn about the significant county taxes wind farms pay to local school districts and to the county and catch up on information for what could potentially be the first wind farm in Peoria County at the Four Creeks Wind website.

If you are a Peoria County resident, please write or email your Peoria County board member in support of the Four Creeks Wind Project. Contact information for Peoria County Board members is on the county's website.
