Helen Gasdorf was an early activist with HOI Group and helped on many issues ranging from habitat protection to stopping the expansion of the PDC Hazardous Waste Landfill. She was one of the vanishing “old guard” of original HOI members. This remembrance is in honor of her, her love of nature and of animals, her sunny disposition, and her willingness to step up and help out when called. We all stand on the shoulders of those who strived before us for a better world, and for a kinder, more caring co-existence with nature and all that sustains us.
