Please phone U.S. Representative Darin LaHood 309-671-7027 to let him know that you want the Peoria City Riverfront Park to remain public open space and you strongly oppose his efforts to push the National Park Service to approve the sale of the park for private apartment buildings. Call state Representative David Leitch 309-690-7373 with the same message. The Friends of Riverfront Park continue their efforts to challenge errors in the City of Peoria land conversion application. An attorney hired by the group is reviewing sections that do not comply with federal regulations. Any donation toward legal defense for the park will help.
