Representing the Mt. Shasta region
The Sierra Club was founded in 1892 by naturalist John Muir. Today, there are more than 60 chapters nationwide and over 3.8 million members. The Sierra Club's mission is to explore, protect and enjoy the wild places of the Earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the Earth's ecosystems and resources; to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives. The Shasta Group is focused on the Shasta area, and we are based out of Redding. Scroll down for a calendar list of upcoming events, and follow our social media to learn more and stay connected!
