Redwood Chapter’s Lake Group was created as an individual entity in 2001. We sponsor five informational general meetings annually on a wide variety of environmental subjects, and host two social events every year, all free and open to the public. The Club also offers hiking leadership courses and leads dozens of Outings every year, mostly within the county.
We take advantage of every opportunity to engage with the public by participating in events such as Earth Day and Power to the Youth, and collaborate regularly with other local non-profit organizations and government agencies to build trails, protect Clear Lake against invasive species, support our state parks, promote a thriving local food network, and support other activities designed to raise environmental awareness and build a constituency for nature.
