Free, Virtual Snow Camping Clinics Will Help You Get Outdoors This Winter

By Sissy Petropoulou

This season more than any other, people are ready to get outside. Are you one of them? If you have never camped in the snow — but plan to backcountry ski because the resorts will have limited access — this opportunity is for you. While the Snowcamping Section of the Sierra Club SF Bay Chapter will not be offering the regular field trainings this year, its leaders will share with you 51 years of experience virtually with Zoom meetings.

Winter sports can be overwhelming and the questions are endless: Can you use your three-season gear? Is the trail you know available? Do you need a snow shovel? Join us to get all the answers in a series of ten Zoom meetings, every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, beginning January 6th, 2021. Each meeting will be devoted to one subject. We will present what we know best and answer all questions.

If you want to expand your outdoor knowledge and feed your curiosity, join us! For more information, head to the Sierra Club Snowcamping Section website: www.snowcamping.org.
