Donate a Vehicle

Do you have a vehicle that you no longer need or use? When you donate a vehicle through CARS, you reduce your environmental impact, help protect the environment, receive a tax deducation, and support the imperative efforts of our chapter. CARS will pick up most cars, trucks, trailers, boat, RVs, motorcycles, off-road vehicles, and heavy equipment, making it easy for you to support the Sierra Club's mission to move toward a greener future.

Note: Please make sure you select "Sierra Club Foundation San Francisco Bay Area Chapter" when the form asks you to select a chapter for your donation.

Planned Giving

Leave an enduring environmental legacy by including San Francisco Bay Chapter Sierra Club in your will, living trust, or other estate plan. To keep your gift local, please explicitly state that the Chapter is your intended recipient. There are many benefits to this type of giving:

  • Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
  • You can modify your gift to address changing circumstances.
  • You can direct your gift to a particular purpose (be sure to check with us to make sure your gift can be used as intended).
  • Under current tax law, there is no upper limit on the estate tax deduction for your charitable bequests.

Give Stock

You can easily donate stocks (and get a nice tax deduction too!) by donating through our fiscal sponsor at the Sierra Club Foundation. Fill out the form online here and authorize your broker to transfer your shares. When you fill out the form make sure that you enter the purpose of the gift as “SF Bay Chapter," otherwise we won’t receive your donation. It’s as easy as that! Making a simple, tax-deductible gift to the chapter has never been easier.

Advertise in the Yodeler

Placing an ad in the Bay Chapter's print newspaper, the Yodeler, supports local conservation work and raises awareness of your business, event, or other offer.
