Bay Alive also has multiple active projects in each chapter focused on specific developments along the shoreline, or land-use plans that could threaten shoreline ecosystems or impair opportunities for natural or nature-based adaptation. Since cities haven’t yet developed their sea level rise plans in accordance with the RSAP, we’re in a window of time where development projects are unbound by the plan’s strong standards. This makes strong engagement with these projects especially important.
We need your help to:
- Engage with local land use projects/plans with shoreline impacts
- Highlight sea level rise, groundwater rise, legacy contamination, wildlife impacts
- Inject RSAP priorities and nature-based solution opportunities into local projects/plans
