Submissions to Sierra Magazine

Sierra welcomes unsolicited pitches from qualified writers. We do not republish content that has appeared elsewhere or been repurposed from other sources. All the content we publish is original and written specifically for publication by Sierra. Please review our submission guidelines before sending us a pitch. We know it’s a little unusual, but we have set up this submission form to avoid being spammed by bots. Rest assured that your pitch, if it is not spam, will land in the inbox of one of our staff editors.

We do our best to get back to writers in a timely manner, but editors do receive a large quantity of email. Due to the amount of submissions, we do not respond to every inquiry we receive.

Please find read the submission guidelines and choose the department that fits best.

If you chose a department we do not cover then your pitch will be ignored. Please read our submission guidelines.

Please only post information about what the story is going to be about, not the entire article.
Please provide a paragraph or two about your writing background.
I certify that I did NOT use Quillbot or similar tools to rewrite someone else"s work

It's come to our attention that there are many videos on YouTube claiming you can rewrite an article using a paraphrasing tool and a plagiarism detector and submit it here and get paid. Please reread our submission guidelines. We do not accept this work. Please give a thumbs down to any form that makes those claims, and leave a comment on that video.
