Phase Two Drilling Plan of Conglomerate Mesa Submitted

K2 Gold's California subsidiary Mojave Precious Metals has submitted its phase two drilling plan to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The BLM is reviewing it and will be releasing a scoping document soon for public comment. We expect scoping will be followed by an environmental assessment. The project tentatively involves drilling one to four holes at 30 sites going down almost 1,000 feet. K2 Gold is proposing they would drive to these sites along road scars used in previous drilling projects. They are also proposing to pack out the core samples by mules. The drill waste water would go into sump pits. Drilling would be 24 hours per day, seven days per week, for most of two to four months. This would be followed by up to two months of site and road reclamation and two to three years of reclamation monitoring. Read more about the threat to Conglomerate Mesa.
