Representing more than 400 Sierra Club members living in Lake County, California, Lake Group is the smallest of the six Groups in Redwood Chapter. We work to preserve our wild heritage, to protect and restore Clear Lake and its watershed, and to promote smart growth, sustainable practices, and environmentally friendly development.
At 7PM on Wednesday November 18 Lake Group is proud to present a screening of the award-winning documentary "A Walk Through Time, the Story of Anderson Marsh." This film premiered in July to an overflow crowd -- if you missed it then, here's another opportunity. Archeologist Dr. John Parker, Koi Nation Chair Dino Beltran, and representatives of the Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association will also be on hand to talk about the Marsh, the native people who have made their homes there for thousands of years, and the events leading to its protection as a State Park. The event will be held at at the Lower Lake Methodist Church Community Room, 16255 Second St; for more info, contact Chair Ed Robey at 994 8304 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
