Sierra Club Regional Political Training -Houston, Texas

This is an election year like no other. It's time to do something different, and we need your response right away.

In previous years, the Sierra Club has held its political trainings in Washington, DC. This year, those trainings are spread out across the country so that more people - people like you - can participate.

Join Sierra Club political leaders from across Texas on June 11 for a one day political organizing training that will focus on how to take the Sierra Club's political program to the next level.

We will work on building capacity for our political programs that result in real grassroots power. Our emphasis will be on the skills to make a real impact. The training agenda includes: building political power, how to use resources effectively, fundraising for the Chapter PAC, and political action planning. This training is for all Sierra Club members - from the political junky to the occasional activist. You will learn the skills that not only win electoral campaigns, but also our conservation campaigns.

The goal at the end of the training is to have the broad strokes of a product that your Sierra Club Chapter and regional group can use to win electoral campaigns, which will aid our efforts to achieve our conservation goals.

In the era of super PACs and gross spending on ads, grassroots campaigns are going to be the difference between winning and losing. Fortunately, with your help the Sierra Club can deliver that grassroots power!
