Solarize Houston Enrollment Ends July 31

Your chance to join in Solarize Houston’s 2017 group purchase of solar equipment ends on July 31.  In 2016, Solarize Houston drove 13 projects for 109 kW of new solar capacity in the Houston area.  Participants saved 15% - 20% in addition to the 30% federal investment tax credit.  2017 looks  better, say Solarize Houston volunteers.

Solarize Houston is the grass roots, volunteer, non-profit group organizing Houstonians in the group purchase.  Houston Renewable Energy Group leads the program this year.

Under the plan, homeowners and businesses enroll at https://www.solarize-houston.org/index/enroll.html by July 31.  Enrollees receive a free design for their solar system and can save on its installation.  There are no fees or obligations until an enrollee signs a contract with the installer.  Solarize Houston obtains competitive pricing and selects the installer.

If you would like to help bring more clean energy to Houston or would like a discount on a solar system, please enroll or send an email to solarizehouston@outlook.com.

Solarize Houston holds its last free Rooftop Solar Workshop on July 8, 1030 am to noon at the Green Building Resource Center, 1002 Washington, Houston, Texas 77002 featuring a veteran Houston installer.  You will learn how to participate in the program and have your solar system questions.  The workshop is free and open to the public.
